I. Main Applications
Wet multi-plate electromagnetic clutch and brake, for the magnetic flux but not plate type, sensitive and reliable action, easy to adjust after friction plate wear, no-load torque is small. Mainly used in handling, steel rolling, semi-automatic lathe, CNC machine tools, textile and other automated machinery transmission system, to realize the clutch, direction change, speed change, braking, positioning and other functions.
Wet multi-disc electromagnetic clutch (brake) can work reliably under the following conditions
1. The altitude of the clutch installation site does not exceed 2000 meters above sea level;
2. Ambient temperature -10ºC~+40ºC.
3. There is no danger of explosion in the surrounding medium, and there is no gas and conductive dust that is sufficient to corrode the metal and destroy the insulation.
4. Clutch coil voltage fluctuations do not exceed +5% and -15% of the rated voltage;
5. The friction plate should be clean and free from oil.
Installation
1. Before installation, check that the friction plate should be free of debris.
2. The clutch must be kept oil lubrication for a long time, or semi-immersed.
3. It can be installed horizontally or vertically.
4. When installing with broken shaft, the coaxiality between the active part and the driven part should be less than 0.07mm.
5. The driving part and the driven part must be fixed axially separately to avoid tampering.
6.Multi-disc electromagnetic clutch friction plate in the use of about 1 year after the wear, should adjust the air gap &.The method is: loosen the screw on the adjusting mother, rotate the adjusting mother, in the energized state, so that & to reach the specified value in the table, and then tighten the screw.
Advantage
1,High speed response: Because it is a dry type so the torque is conveyed very quickly, and it can achieve convenient action.
2,Strong durability: good heat dissipation, and the use of advanced materials, even if high frequency, high energy use, but also very durable.
3, easy to assemble and maintain: belongs to the ball bearing built-in magnetic field coil static shape, so do not need to take out the center pistil and do not have to use carbon brushes, easy to use.
4, action indeed: the use of plate shrapnel, although there is strong vibration will not produce loose, good durability.
Precautions
1) Since the engagement and disengagement of the electromagnetic clutch takes place at high speed, there will be many clutch marks on the surface of the suction plate and rotor. These marks are not harmful to the work and are permissible.
2) Apply appropriate voltage to the electromagnetic coil. For a 12V voltage solenoid coil, if it is added to a 6V voltage system, it will not be able to generate enough magnetic field, which will make the suction iron slip, shorten the clutch life, and reduce the cooling capacity. Conversely, if a 6V coil is added to a 12V voltage system, the coil life will be shortened.
3)The gap between the coil and rotor is important, the coil and rotor should be as close together as possible to get a stronger magnetic field action, but this gap should not be too small so that the rotor does not drag the coil (for fixed coil clutches).
4) The clearance between the rotor and the suction iron is also important. If this gap is too small, the rotor will drag the suction iron when the clutch is disengaged. However, if this gap is too large, there is too little contact between them when the clutch is operating. Both of these conditions can cause the clutch to perform poorly. Reasonable clearance between them should be when the clutch is not current, the two do not drag phenomenon; when the clutch current, to ensure that the phenomenon of slip does not occur.
