Traction Rope




As elevators pick up speed, more and more elevator designers and manufacturers are using high strength traction ropes. The type of steel used is determined by many factors, although the most important are the required elevator load and car speed. If the traction force is sufficient, it is not dangerous to use EHS grade traction ropes.




Traction ropes of 8*19 construction are mostly used for barrel and balance ropes. If the material of the existing barrel and sheave is lower than the strength of the required traction material, then the material of the wire rope needs to be reconsidered.



8*25 filled wire traction ropes can provide longer use and better benefits.
